Compensation for Travel Allowance

- Customers will only be able to claim this policy if an accident has occurred with the policyholder's car with another land vehicle and the policyholder has taken their car to the garage and it will take more than 12 hours to fix.

- The coverage amount will be based on the sum insured per time but no more than 2 times a year.

- The sum insured is different for 2 of the following scenarios.

- If you are the party that is right, the policy will give you a sum insured of 1,500 baht.

- If you are the party that is wrong or also found to have been at fault, the policy will give you a sum insured of 500 baht.

- If you are the party that is wrong or also found to have been at fault, the policy will give you a sum insured of 500 baht.

Exception for Travel Allowance Compensation

1 - Depreciation in car.

2 - If the car happens to break down by itself due to faulty mechanisms or due to degradation of the car based on its age, you will not be able to claim for this policy. The car must be damaged from an accident.

3 - Drivers who have been using their vehicle for purposes other than what the car has been registered will not be able to claim. This includes having too many passengers or carrying too much of a load in your car.

4 - Damages caused due to the tires bursting or tearing while driving will not be covered unless this has caused damage to other parts of the car as well.

5 - Driving without a license, expired license, revoked license, or the wrong type of license (such as a motorbike license) will also result in inability to claim.

6 - Damage to your car caused by towing or dragging an object.

7 - Drivers who are under the influence of alcohol more than the legal limit of 150 mg% will not be able to claim for compensation.

Conditions 5, 6 and 7 will not apply if you are the party that is not at fault and did not cause the accident through any of your actions (intentional or not).

Travel allowance required documentation

1 - Documents used to fix your car given to you by the third party’s insurance OR

2 - Claim form from Bangkok Insurance or Accident report form that clearly states the details of the accident OR.

3 - A police report clearly detailing the events of the accident, which party is at fault, cause of the accident, and the license plate of the third party at fault.

4 - Car pickup slip given to you by the garage with clear indication of when you had taken the car to the garage and when you will be picking you car up.

5 - A copy of the receipt from the garage (if applicable).

6 - Picture of the damage to the car before taking it into the garage.

7 - Any additional documents that the insurance company might need for help process the claim.
