- Compensation for this package is only valid is if it is clear and visible that there has been forceful entry into your car.
- Compensation amount will be calculated based on the original price of the item lost after depreciation is taken into account but not over the sum insured.
- If the entire vehicle is lost, the compensation for the item lost will be doubled.
Items/assets that are covered in this policy include bags, items/assets in the bag, mobile phones or any other communication devices, plugs, cameras, watches, sports equipment, clothes and accessories, and other personal belongings that are not excluded in the terms and conditions.
The meaning of items and assets that are covered by this policy does not include any car modification or any other permanent fixtures of the car. Items that have been added to the car from the dealer or factory, are also not covered.
- If the items of the car were lost or damaged by personnel who have rented the car, people who you have lent the car to, close family members, employees, or the owner of the car, compensation will not be paid out.
- Gold, cash, jewelry, amulets, works of art or items of historic value are not covered by this policy.
- Files, plans and photos, print or digital will not be covered as value cannot be placed on items.
- Guns, ammunitions, or any other type of weapons or explosives will not be covered.
- Items that do not belong to you that were in the car during the period will not be covered.
- Tapes, CDs, sound systems, speakers, anti-theft devices will not be covered.
- All continuously other damages.
Once damage has occurred for the items that qualify under this policy, customers have to have the following documents and information:
1 - Customer must go to the police station to open a case for the missing items and take the case report to the claims department of Bangkok Insurance.
2 - The following additional documents also must be presented to Bangkok insurance within 30 days of the incident.
2.1 - Details of the each item lost and its value on a written document signed by the owner.
2.2 - Fill in the claims form for exclusive asset coverage.
2.3 - Case report that you received from the police station with details of what was missing and how the incident occurred.
2.4 - Any additional documents that the insurance company might need for help process the claim.
